Ask questions and get help with Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC).
What if I were to decide to travel to Thailand within 3 days? Then obviously I cannot submit the form 3 days in advance.
Then you can submit it 1-3 days.
I went through all comments and got a good view about the TDAC but the only thing I still don't know is how many days before arrival I can fill in this form? The form itself seems easy to fill in!
At most 3 days!
Is getting a Yellow fever vaccination compulsory for entry?
Only if you traveled through infected areas: https://tdac.in.th/#yellow-fever-requirements
They needed to change from "covid"
They needed to change from "covid"
If you are staying in various hotels in different cities, which address do you enter on your form?
You put the arrival hotel.
I fly into Bangkok on the 10th of May and then on the 6th of June fly to Cambodia for about 7 days for a side trip and then re-enter Thailand again. Do I have to send another online ETA form?
Yes, you would need to fill one out each time you enter Thailand. Same as the old TM6.
It is stated that the TDAC application must be made 3 days before entering the country. Question 1: 3 days AT MOST? If yes, how many days AT EARLIEST before entering the country? Question 2: How long to receive the result if living in the EU? Question 3: Are these rules likely to change by January 2026? Question 4: What about the visa exemption: will it be reverted to 30 days or remain at 60 days starting January 2026? Thank you for answering all these 4 questions by sworn persons (please no "I believe that or I read or heard that"
1) It is not possible to apply more than 3 days before entering the country. 2) Approval is instant, even for EU residents. 3) No one can predict the future, but these measures seem to be intended for the long term. For example, the TM6 form has been in place for over 40 years. 4) To date, no official announcement has been made regarding the duration of the visa exemption starting January 2026. Therefore, it remains unknown.
Thank you.
Thank you. 3 days before entry: it's a bit rushed, but okay. So: if I plan my entry to Thailand on January 13, 2026: from which date EXACTLY must I send my TDAC application at the earliest (since my flight would leave on January 12): the 9th or the 10th of January (considering the time difference between France and Thailand on those dates)?
Please respond, thank you.
It's based on Thailand time. So if the arrival date is January 12th, you would be able to submit as early as January 9th (in Thailand).
Do DTV Visa holders require to fill out this digital card?
Yes, you would still need to do this if you are arriving on, or after May 1st.
Can you submit the form on a laptop? And get the QR code back on a laptop?
The QR is sent to your email as a PDF, so you should be able to use any device.
OK, so I screenshot the QR CODE from the PDF from my email, right??? because I will not have internet access on arrival.
You can screenshot it without even getting the email they show it at the end of the application.
This seems to be okay as long as we can type in the information they need. If we have to start uploading things like photos, fingerprints, etc. it will be too much work.
No document upload is required, just a 2-3 page form. (if you traveled through Africa then it's a 3-pager)
Does a Non-immigrant O visa require submission of the TDAC?
Yes, if you are arriving on, or after May 1st.
I intend to travel from Poipet, Cambodia via Bangkok to Malaysia by Thailand train without stopping in Thailand. How do I fill up the accommodation page?
You check the box that says: [x] I am a transit passenger, I don't stay in Thailand
So they're going to track everyone for safety reasons? Where have we heard that before, eh?
This is the same questions that the TM6 had, and that was introduced over 40 years ago.
I have a 2-hour stopover in Kenya from Amsterdam. Do I need a Yellow Fever Certificate even in transit? The Ministry of Public Health has issued regulations that applicants who have travelled from or through the countries which have been declared Yellow Fever Infected Areas must provide an International Health Certificate proving that they have received a Yellow Fever vaccination.
It would appear so: https://www.mfa.go.th/en/publicservice/5d5bcc2615e39c306000a30d?cate=5d5bcb4e15e39c30600068d3
I live in Thailand on a NON-IMM O visa (Thai family). However, Thailand as country of residence is not selectable. What to select? Country of nationality? That would make no sense as I don’t have residency outside of Thailand.
Looks like an early error, maybe select nationality for now because all non-Thais need to fill it out according to current info.
Yes, will do so. Seems the application more focused on tourist and short term visitors and not so much considering the specific situation of long term visa holders. Besides TDAC, „East German“ doesn’t exist anymore since November 1989!
Can’t wait to see you again Thailand
Thailand is waiting for you.
I hold an O Retirement Visa and live in Thailand. I will be returning to Thailand after a short vacation, do I still need to fill out this TDAC? Thank you.
If you are returning on or after May 1st, then yes, you will need to.
As a Thailand privilege member, I am granted a one-year stamp upon entry (extendable at immigration). How can I provide a departure flight? I agree with this requirement for the visa exemption and visa on arrival tourists. However, for long-term visa holders, departure flights should not be a mandatory requirement in my opinion.
Departure information is optional as noted by the lack of red asterisks
I overlooked this, thank you for the clarification.
No problem, have a safe trip!
I never completed the TM6, so I'm not sure how closely the information sought compares with that on the TM6, so apologies if this is a stupid question. My flight leaves the UK on 31 May and I have a connection to Bangkok, departing on 1 June. In the travel details section of the TDAC, would my boarding point be the first leg from the UK, or the connection from Dubai?
Departure information is actually optional if you look at the screenshots; they do not have the red asterisks next to them. The most important thing is the arrival date.
Sawadee Krap, Just found out the requirements for the Arrival Card. I'm a 76 year old male and cannot provide a departure date as requested plus for my Flight. The reason being, I have to get a Tourist Visa for my Thai Fiancée who lives in Thailand, and do not know how long the procedure will take, so therefore I cannot provide any dates until all is past and accepted. Please consider my Dilemma. Yours Sincerely. John Mc Pherson. Australia.
You can apply up to 3 days before your arrival date at MOST. Also you can update the data if things change. The application, and updates are approved instantly.
PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY QUERY ( It does stipulate in Required Information for TDAC Submission ) 3. Travel Information says =Date of departure (if known) Departure mode of travel (if known) is that sufficient for me?
I'm from Australia unsure how the Health Declaration works If I pick Australia from the drop down box will it skip the Yellow Fever section providing I haven't been to those countries listed
Yes, you do NOT need Yellow Fever Vaccination if you have not been in the listed countries.
Excellent! Looking forward to a stress-free experience.
Won't be long, no more forgetting to wake up when they pass out TM6 cards.
So. How to get the link easier
It is not required unless your arrival is on May 1st or after.
Where is the form?
As mentioned on the page: https://tdac.immigration.go.th But the earliest you should be submitting is April 28th as the TDAC starts to become a requirement on May 1st.
If I have added the arrival date prior to the airport of departure, and while at the airport the flight is delayed and does not meet the given date for the TDAC, what happens when arriving at the airport in Thailand?
You can edit your TDAC, and the edit will be instantly updated.
aaa
????
Only pro COVID scam countries still go with this UN fraud. It is not for your safety, only for control. It is written in Agenda 2030. One of the few countries that would 'play' a 'pandemic' all over again just to please their agenda and get funds to harm people.
Thailand has had the TM6 in place for over 45 years, and the Yellow Fever Vaccine is only for specific countries, and has nothing to do with COVID.
Do ABTC card holders need to complete the TDAC?
Yes, you would still need to complete the TDAC. Same as when the TM6 was required.
For a person holding a student visa, does he/she need to complete the ETA before returning to Thailand for term break, holiday, etc.? Thanks
Yes, you would need to do this if your arrival date is on or after May 1st. This is the replacement of the TM6.
Excellent
Always hated filling out those cards by hand
Seems to be a huge step back from the TM6 this will confuse many travelers to Thailand. What will happen if they do not have this great new innovation on arrival?
It looks like airlines may also require it, similar to how they were required to hand them out, but they just require it at check-in or boarding.
Will the airlines require this document at check-in or will it be only required at the immigration station at Thailand airport? Can it be completed before approaching immigration?
At the moment this part is unclear, but it would make sense for airlines to require this when checking in or boarding.
For older visitors without online skills, will a paper version be available?
From what we understand it must be done online, maybe you can have someone you know submit for you, or use an agent. Assuming you were able to book a flight without any online skills the same company could help you with the TDAC.
This is not required yet, it will start on May 1st, 2025
Meaning you can apply April 28th for May 1st arrival.
