Introduction to the Thailand Digital Arrival Card

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) is an online form that has replaced the paper-based TM6 arrival card. It provides convenience for all foreigners entering Thailand by air, land, or sea. The TDAC is used to submit entry information and health declaration details before arriving in the country, as authorized by the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand.

Official Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) Introduction Video - Learn how the new digital system works and what information you need to prepare before your trip to Thailand.

This video is from the official Thai government website (tdac.immigration.go.th). The subtitles, translations and dubbing were added by us to help travelers. We are not affiliated with the Thai government.

Who Must Submit a TDAC

All foreigners entering Thailand are required to submit the Thailand Digital Arrival Card before their arrival, with the following exceptions:

  • Foreigners transiting or transferring in Thailand without going through immigration control
  • Foreigners entering Thailand using a Border Pass

When to Submit Your TDAC

Foreigners should submit their arrival card information within 3 days before arriving in Thailand, including the date of arrival. This allows sufficient time for processing and verification of the information provided.

How Does the TDAC System Work?

The TDAC system streamlines the entry process by digitizing the information collection that was previously done using paper forms. To submit the Digital Arrival Card, foreigners can access the Immigration Bureau website at http://tdac.immigration.go.th. The system offers two submission options:

  • Individual submission - For solo travelers
  • Group submission - For families or groups traveling together

Submitted information can be updated anytime before travel, giving travelers flexibility to make changes as needed.

TDAC Application Process

The application process for the TDAC is designed to be straightforward and user-friendly. Here are the basic steps to follow:

  1. Visit the official TDAC website at http://tdac.immigration.go.th
  2. Choose between individual or group submission
  3. Complete the required information in all sections:
    • Personal Information

Benefits of the TDAC System

The TDAC system offers several advantages over the traditional paper-based TM6 form:

  • Faster immigration processing upon arrival
  • Reduced paperwork and administrative burden
  • Ability to update information before travel
  • Enhanced data accuracy and security
  • Improved tracking capabilities for public health purposes
  • More sustainable and environmentally friendly approach
  • Integration with other systems for a smoother travel experience

TDAC Limitations and Restrictions

While the TDAC system offers many benefits, there are some limitations to be aware of:

  • Once submitted, certain key information cannot be updated, including:
    • Full Name (as it appears in passport)
    • Passport Number
    • Nationality/Citizenship
    • Date of Birth
  • All information must be entered in English only
  • Internet access is required to complete the form
  • The system may experience high traffic during peak travel seasons.

Health Declaration Requirements

As part of the TDAC, travelers must complete a health declaration that includes: This includes Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate for travelers from affected countries.

  • List of countries visited within two weeks before arrival
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate status (if required)
  • Declaration of any symptoms experienced in the past two weeks, including:
    • Diarrhea
    • Vomiting
    • Abdominal pain
    • Fever
    • Rash
    • Headache
    • Sore throat
    • Jaundice
    • Cough or shortness of breath
    • Enlarged lymph glands or tender lumps
    • Other (with specification)

Important: If you declare any symptoms, you may be required to proceed to the Department of Disease Control counter before entering the immigration checkpoint.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Requirements

The Ministry of Public Health has issued regulations that applicants who have travelled from or through countries declared as Yellow Fever Infected Areas must provide an International Health Certificate proving they have received a Yellow Fever vaccination.

The International Health Certificate must be submitted together with the visa application form. The traveller will also have to present the certificate to the Immigration Officer upon arrival at the port of entry in Thailand.

Nationals of the countries listed below who have not travelled from/through those countries do not require this certificate. However, they should possess concrete evidence showing that their domicile is not in an infected area to prevent unnecessary inconvenience.

How long does it take for approval for my TDAC?
0
AnonymousAnonymousJune 23rd, 2025 5:20 AM
TDAC approval is instant if you apply within 72 hours of your arrival.

If you applied earlier than that for your TDAC using AGENTS CO., LTD., your approval is typically processed within the first 1–5 minutes of entering the 72-hour window (midnight Thailand time).

For your TDAC, you should enter the flight number of your final flight into Thailand, as that’s the arrival flight immigration needs to match.

Hi if I'm coming to Thailand but I'm only staying 2 or 3 days and traveling, for example, to Malaysia, then coming back to Thailand for a few days, how does it affect the TDAC?
0
AnonymousAnonymousJune 19th, 2025 5:02 AM
For each international entry into Thailand, you need to complete a new TDAC. Since you're entering Thailand once before and once after visiting Malaysia, you'll need two separate TDAC applications.

If you use agents.co.th/tdac-apply, you can log in and copy your previous submission to quickly get a new TDAC issued for your second entry.

It saves you from having to re-enter all your details.

0
AnonymousAnonymousJune 17th, 2025 7:45 AM
The TDAC is NOT a visa.

It is just a required step for reporting your arrival.

Depending on your passport country you may still need a visa, or you may qualify for a 60-day exemption (which can be extended for an additional 30 days).

But if you applied through the website agents.co.th/tdac-apply, you can contact the team at [email protected] for us to help check and resend the documents.

If you used the Agents TDAC, you can just log in and edit your TDAC, and it will reissue for you.

But if you used the official government form, you will have to submit the whole thing again as they do not allow editing the passport number.

Hi there!
I guess it's not possible to update the departure details after arriving? As I cannot choose a previous arrival date.
0
AnonymousAnonymousJune 11th, 2025 1:14 PM
You cannot update your departure details on the TDAC after you’ve already arrived.

Currently, there's no requirement to keep the TDAC information updated after entry (just like the old paper form).

With the TDAC agents system, you can first complete one application, then log out and log back in.

You’ll then see an option to copy your existing TDAC, making the second application much faster.

Hello, we are going to Thailand for 1 week then going to Vietnam for 2 weeks and then returning to Thailand for 1 week. Do we need to reapply for the TDAC 3 days before returning to Thailand?

Yes, you must submit a TDAC application for each entry into Thailand.

The earliest you can do this via the official government website (https://tdac.immigration.go.th/

I am a UK national and have already arrived in Thailand. I initially put my departure date as the 30th, but would like to stay for a few more days to see more of the country. Is it possible for me to stay longer, and do I need to update the TDAC?

You do not need to update your TDAC as you have already entered Thailand.

Chinese phones do not have eSIM card services, but I have already purchased the 50G-eSIM plan. How can I get a refund?

When I filled in the hotel address, it appeared as follows, with repeated areas and sub-areas at the beginning. Is this a problem? BANGKOK, PATHUM WAN, WANG MAI, BANGKOK, 40 SOIKASEMSAN 1 RAMA 1 ROAD PATUMWAN WANGMAI BANGKOK 10330

It is fine if there are repeated names of areas or sub-areas in the hotel address. As long as the complete address and postal code are correct and consistent with the actual location of the hotel, it will not cause any issues with the TDAC application.

When I filled in the hotel address, the address appeared with repeated areas and sub-areas both at the beginning and the end. Is this a problem? As shown below: BANGKOK, PATHUM WAN, WANG MAI, BANGKOK, 40 SOIKASEMSAN 1 RAMA 1 ROAD PATUMWAN WANGMAI BANGKOK 10330, does this have any impact?
